It's My "Ex-Dash"

Oh wait, it's my Ex-Dash, not my Exodus!

Yes, it's not an EXO's song, but it is the latest mini collection I drew.

The inspiration emerged while I was listening to EXO's Exodus. I did some research about Exodus, and I found out that it is a bible story about the Israeli's journey escaping from Egypt slavery.

And yes, this mini collection is inspired by the Exodus story. For this collection, I have slight upgrade for the story. I imagine it as a rebellion of the slaves, and they tried to escape from their slavery.

Why did I name it "Ex-Dash"?

I want to say that that "Ex" factor, that's the life as a slave drove them to break free and escaping from Egypt in a "dash". This is why I call it "Ex-Dash".

This is my moodboard for Ex-Dash. I use several items that describe the life of a slave, the items like chains, robe, and masks. But as the story of this collection is about a rebellion, I added a broken heart to describe the limit of the slaves' tolerance. So, there they did the rebel. And the rebel story is described with the splattered blood like pattern.

Oh my, why did I feel that this collection is so "dark"? :p

So, from the inspiration, I created some looks, both for menswear, and womenswear. I did this for a competition, but I also did it for fun. So, here they are.

I plan to create a printed creative fabric for this collection, the one that looks like splattered blood on the fabric.

So, I might be sew these outfits in the future! I'll share it with you when they're ready!
